I first met Bob when I moved to Oral Care at P&G in 1986. A few years later I found myself somehow in charge of the Technology section with Bob reporting to me. He was instrumental in teaching me everything I needed to know about teeth. Later in the early 1990s Bob and I had the good fortune to travel Europe together during our skirmishes with Colgate over our advertising claims. Some very memorable stories came out of those trips, as well as our attendance at the ORCA meetings. It was at my first ORCA meeting in Dresden in 1993 when I got back to the hotel around 3:00 in the morning to find Bob talking with Kim in the hotel bar. It was the start of a very beautiful relationship! I am proud to say that I was a friend of Bob's. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
